I've been thinking about how to build a Rt/Mo ever since the buff to [strength of honor], and I'm certainly going to give your prototype a spin. But I'm wondering whether [offering of spirit] is the best elite for this. Aside from the fact that heroes kinda suck at knowing when to use it, I don't see how you're avoiding the health sacrifice because the bar has no spirit-based skills.

I'm sure it could use some tweaking though; maybe remove Reversal of Damage, reduce smiting to 11, and replace with a low spec Shield of Absorption? I haven't determined whether he spends too much time/energy casting Reversal of Damage due to its short recharge, and would be better off with something with a longer recharge so that he can use his other skills more.

Sometimes I have a N/Rt healer along who has Life, but even when I don't, the health sacrifice gets cleaned up by miscellaneous healing (e.g. minions dying if I have Dwayna's Sorrow) and surprisingly, hasn't been noticeable so far. I think that's because he doesn't really use it until he gets low on energy.

He seems just about right on energy overall. I'm not thrilled with Offering of Spirit as an elite skill in general though, it feels very sub par to other classes' options. I'd love to get rid of it if I could come up with something better. I just tried out Defender's Zeal (haha!) which was pretty hit and miss, as it generally preferred to put it on what I was attacking, which died shortly thereafter.

I tried a similar setup with a rit/mo. I used RoJ for the elite. I know what people are thinking take a monk but the 14 points as you say in channeling makes splinter weapon a load better for a physical than the usual 10.

Yes, I fiddled with the idea of a Mo/Rt based on [strength of honor (pve)], [ray of judgment], and [splinter weapon (pve)], but I never figured out a bar that had even a chance of decent energy management. Primary monk heroes do OK with energy if they're secondary /E or /Me, not so much if they're secondary /Rt. And primary rit heroes don't do so well with energy if they have only 10 points in channeling.
